What this website is about: Or Why the world is so fucked up now

Everything feels scary, unstable, and utterly fucked! Social media, with its insidious influence, dominates the zeitgeist. Platforms initially created with the promise of bringing us closer together now thrive on deepening divides and fostering tribalism. TikTok is numbing the minds of the young, while mainstream social media has become a breeding ground for narcissism, extremism, and the death of nuanced opinions.

The rich and powerful hoard resources from the rest of the world's population, all while stoking the flames of racial hatred to divert attention from themselves. These same governments have restricted the freedoms of their citizens, all while claiming that masculinity is under threat and women are to blame!

Cults and ideologues from both the left and right of the political spectrum proliferate like maggots on decaying flesh. Capitalist evangelists claim that the only way forward is to work ourselves into an early grave, while naive communists spew insipid drivel, only to be filmed and weaponized by the far-right.

And to top it all off, the money we wage-slave for is worth less and less as time goes by, yet getting food to eat and keeping roofs over our heads is made harder.

So, rather than lamenting and complaining—let's do something about it. This website is a work in progress, but it will aim to teach you everything you need to:

  • Spot bullshit and call it out

  • Make yourself immune from the rage-addiction machine (also known as social media)

  • Develop healthy skepticism (or how not to just question those you're told to)

  • How to be happier, healthier, and more at peace with yourself

  • Develop self-esteem, learning also why it's important in combating power imbalance in society

All these things are absolutely necessary to making your life and the lives of others better, even if those with power are looking to take everything from you.

Two disclaimers. I am based in the West. I do not live under a dictatorship. I do not purport to know what is best for those under the threat of violence. Second, I am not your leader! I do not have all the answers, and never will. I only encourage you to think for yourselves and perhaps point you in the direction of the tools to do this.
